Oysterfest Ambassadors 2017

We are now seeking nominations for the Oysterfest 2017 Ambassador Quest! This is a great opportunity for local people to take an active role in fundraising for this great community event, and to support a local cause or program.

Nominations Close August 29th 2016 with fundraising to commence from Monday 3rd October 2016

Ambassador Quest Entrants hold fundraising events throughout the year, of which 50% of the proceeds go towards assisting with running costs of the Oysterfest and the remainder goes towards a not-for-profit organisation or community project of their choice. They form their own committees to assist them in their quest, usually comprised of members of the Ambassadors sponsoring organisation as well as friends and family members, and host functions like quiz nights, auction dinners and fashion shows or hold cake stalls, car washes, maybe publish a book or calendar any activity that will assist them in raising funds!

They are then involved in promoting and presenting the Oysterfest, as well as helping to run competitions and kids activities. Our winning Ambassador will be on hand to sash competition winners across the weekend.

On Friday 2nd October 2015, at the Oysterfest Dinner held at the Ceduna Foreshore Hotel, Tamika Schultz - Ceduna Hospital Village Auxiliary was sashed the 2015 Oysterfest Charity Ambassador, Tamika and her Committee raised $21,468.71.
Chelsea Ware - Centrecare was sashed the Peoples Choice Ambassador and Devon Kavanagh - Ceduna Community Childrens Centre was sashed Best Ambassador Float at the Opening Ceremony of the 2015 Oysterfest.
